From time to time, I will peruse the last 7 days or last 30 days at Blogspot on my blogs I run there and see what older posts are still getting visited. Much of what I write on those blogs is not necessarily "evergreen," but I suppose there are aspects of some of them that are even if the majority of the subject matter around certain points isn't. Clearly, they are up higher in search ranks or something. I saw one today from back in 2015, still getting traffic. It's one of the advantages, I think, of the blogosphere, is that there is at least some residual value to what you've written, that they will still be found years later, and you will still continue to earn on them years later. From time to time something is still relevant enough it makes it onto my Facebook fan page to share or reshare. Like that one from 2015 today. It's also fun to see what I was talking about at a particular time. Especially considering the bulk majority of my blogging is about conservative politics. ***A funny, old picture of Adam Schiff I found that while photoshopped, is strikingly similar to his actual appearance. lol***

Yes, one thing about mylot, it does not seem to encourage anyone to read old posts. I used to write at other writing websites, where I was always getting visits to my old articles there. Unless, we promote our blogs, they do not get much traffic to them, either, I have found, anyway.

I once had a blog but it did not get much traffic. I think you have to be big on social media for people to notice you in the first place.

@lazydaizee It takes a very, VERY long time build an audience of any size that matters. Years and years. It's a very tough and competitive space, and very difficult to break in with any real impact.

It is good to hear that your blog is very popular. Sometimes I get directed to older blog posts when I use the search engine. Older posts can be just as useful as newer ones.

That is how I assume they are being found. It is actually interesting in another way because it helps to show what people may be searching, which can prompt one to write a newer, more updated version of the blog that may get some new interest as well.
