Sunday was wonderful!

I had written that Dale was preaching at our church yesterday and I was singing, first time for both of us in over a year. His sermon was on the goodness of God and that was the name of the song I sang. I thought I might be a little nervous after all this time, but I wasn't and I just enjoyed singing so much. I think my song went well, I sang the wrong note one time, but Dale said no one could tell. I know I'm partial, but that was one of Dale's best sermons ever. I had tears more than once. He talked about all we've been through this past year dealing with my cancer and all that goes with it. But he stressed how God walked with us every minute. I saw God's hand so many times. Like when I was first diagnosed and of course scared to death. I was praying and crying and wanted to read the words of Jesus in the Gospels. I opened my Bible to one of the books so I could read His words. I told Him, "Jesus, I'm just so scared!" I looked down and read His words "Don't be afraid." If that's not an answer to prayer, I don't know what is. He never said we wouldn't have troubles in this life, but He did promise to be with us through them all. A good friend of ours went to church with us and we took her out to eat afterwards to Rib Eyes steak house. It was so delicious, I had the broiled chicken breast. So, that was our very special Sunday. Hope your weekend was wonderful, too.

@1creekgirl I am so happy that this year my oldest daughter lives here, so they want me to go to their house. It's been a long time since I spent a Thanksgiving Day with them. Last year, I went to Florida to spend it with my youngest. Thank you so much.
