I don’t care if you don’t like sports. Most of us have at least seen some incredible Olympic events. For instance, my mom’s favorite athlete was figure skater Dorothy Hamill.
My all time favorite athlete is/was Michael Jordan. I had a 6’6 replica cutout of him in my room as a teenager (my dad bought it for me on his trip to Chicago). My room was half girly, half Michael Jordan.
Do you, or did you have a favorite athlete?

Earlier it was Boris Becker. I quite liked with his cursing, whining, shouting (lol) These days I think I would go for Virat Kohli the cricketer

Way back when in my early adult years I loved watching WWW and at that time I knew all those crazy names they called themselves and had a few favorites,

I don't think I could pick a favourite. I love a lot of sports, especially Olympic sports like curling, hockey, soccer, gymnastics and figure skating. I watch all the Olympic sports as long as a Canadian is playing. I met Canadian figure skater Kurt Browning at a fundraiser, and I have also met several Toronto Maple Leaf players in the '70's. As a big Toronto/Canada fan, right now I have to say Danny Jansen from the Toronto Blue Jays is at the top of my list.
I don't play sports but I love watching it. The sense of accomplishment and teamwork make me tear up.

I know a lot of athletes,my favorite one is Kobe Bryant. He created Mamba Spirit and never said impossible. In my teenhood,my classmates were all the fans of Kobe Bryant,he was very popular.Still i remembered how people talked about his stamina, talent and domination.Everytime i want to give up,i'll think of Kobe and regain the confidence to move on.

I don't have one favorite, but Michael Jordan ranks high on my list. He was a year behind me at Laney High School in Wilmington. We didn't know each other, but I did see him play basketball for the JV team the year I was a senior and he was a junior. Did you know MJ spent two senior years at Laney? Because he didn't make the JV team his sophomore year, he still had a year of eligibility left and the coaches at Carolina suggested he take a few more credits and play another year of high school ball. I guess it's a good thing they did, considering he became a legend.

I would say former Major League Baseball player Rod Carew who played Major League Baseball for the Minnesota Twins and the then California Angels who has a stadium named in his honor in Panama City Panama.

I don't know if I do. I know I like a few of the Olympic athletes: swimmers, Michael Phelps, Katy Ledeke, and Simone Biles. I find it interesting that she lives here in Green Bay now because her husband is a football player and even made a touchdown yesterday on a fumble.

Dorothy Hamill was a figure skater, by the way. I always had a deep respect for the stamina and talent of the tennis players. Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe, Chris Evert... Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and will have an even better day today.

As I got older I admired Joe Montana (San Francisco 49ers) Steve Smith (Carolina Panthers) Peter Sampras, Steffi Graft, Andre Aggassi, Arantxa Sanchez Vicario, Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal (Tennis)
