Closer to reaching my reading goal for 2023

I am getting close to reaching my reading goal for this year.
I set it at 65 books.
Once I finish the eight books I borrowed from the library I will have five books left to go.
I may cheat a little and read the five chapbooks my friend wrote to reach the goal.
I wanted to read them again anyway so why not?

I've read 83 books as of this evening and working on reading book 84. For December I'm doing a novella so that means they will all be short reads no more than 100 pages or a little over 100 pages. I have one that I have to read that is an ARC review for a new author and I have it on my phone ready to read once I finish book 84.
My goal is 100 books so this puts me at 17 books to hit my goal for the year. This is the first time I've set a reading goal. I don't count writing my books as hitting my goals since I know what is going to happen. I have a list of some Novalls so that should help me reach my goal. Next year for 2024 I think I'll go with 69 books lol sounds funny for me to read smutty books but reasonable.

@lovebuglena I do not like reading long books. I tend to stick to books that are 300 pages or less and most Novellas around 100 to 150 pages long if not less.

100 books in one year is impressive. Not sure I'd be able to reach that. Unless maybe I only read short books. The highest amount of books I've read in one year was 66 books. And that was last year.

I am in the process of reading a book now. I may or may not finish it. It's not grabbing me. Good job in almost reaching your goal! Have a great weekend.

If it’s not grabbing you it will be hard to finish probably.

Well I did not make a formal goal, but you remember perhaps I thought I may get to read 1 book. It didn't happen yet.

Haha. How many mylot posts did you read? That could equate to many books perhaps. Though technically it wouldn't count.

I might set a goal for next year. I've actually read quite a few books this year - more than most years.
