Aging Isn't Always Fun

I have enjoyed my life so far but, there are several things I have found I feel differently about as I age. See if you feel the same way. here is a list:
* I don't enjoy loud music like I did when I was young. I used to love to turn the volume up when my mom left. Not so anymore.
* The foods I ate when I was a teen are now guilt-ridden and I don't enjoy them as much anymore.
* I used to keep up with the latest fads more when I was young. Now I wear what I want.
* Now social gatherings and having people around isn't something I enjoy if I ever did.
* I used to be able to read two books at one time. One would be a non-fiction and the other something light like a romance. Not so anymore.
* I used to read every diet book that came out but now I know that diets don't do the trick, a healthy diet does.
Can you relate to any of these?
The image is from my collection of old pics.

I can relate to all of that. I especially don't like going to places that have loud music and are crammed with people. Have a great day.

I still enjoy music loud when I like the songs. I never did care about fashion. I preferred to be comfortable. I think I like being around people more now. Never did read diet books. The others I feel the same as you

I really can relate to several of them! Especially about social gatherings, but my lack of hearing affects that a lot.

Have you looked into some of the products on the market now for that? I am lucky to still have thick, fast-growing hair.

@celticeagle We tried a pricey shampool and I couldn't tell a difference.

I feel like I'm quite different from when I was a teen . . . dare I say I matured and have become wiser
?
I don't need my music loud anymore either . . . loud anything irks me now.
I didn't think much about nutrition way back when - now I do . . . and I don't crave the junky/candy stuff as much now.
I still don't care for social gatherings, but I can tolerate them better now.

I think I've matured. Not into loud music. My grandson likes techno music and I like it okay. No social stuff for me these days.

@much2say ........I'm glad to hear you are doing better socially. I don't socialize except online.

@celticeagle I grew up having so much social anxiety - well, it was more my tween/teen years and into my young adulthood. I still have a bit of it inside, but I can kinda cover that up on the outside (it took some time to get to that point).

Same here. I will play old favorites louder but not much. Never one for fashion either.

I was pretty much my own person and marched to a different drummer when I was growing up. My sister was the one who paid attention to fads. I never needed to diet. I was nice and slim. I never liked loud music. I was a loner, now I love being around people.
Yes, we change as we get older.

I was a hippy and did my own thing. I was very shy when I was younger.

I'm not really old. 43. But I don't like pop music like I used to. I hardly listen to music anymore. I don't drink soda anymore.
