Felt like a longer weekend then it was minus any rest

Friday my girls and I made some stops around town then after dropping my oldest back to work I gave my little one a longer nap and went for a ride. When we got home and she has awoken I let her take her first bubble bath. She loved it. She took her paw patrol “friends” in with her and when she got out I let her open day 1 on her paw patrol advent calendar. To end out a good day I received $13 from Amazon shoppers panel ( ). Saturday my husband went hunting with some of his friends but they didn’t see any deer. My stepson went hunting with his friends and they got a button buck. It was a nice day for them to be out it was close to 50°F. I ran to town to recycle three old ink cartridges at the library and stopped at the thrift store my daughter works at. I got some books for my little one and three Christmas decorations. I spent too much time cleaning up something I shouldn’t have had to deal with but hopefully after me saying something yet again thing will change. (after writing this I went outside and see nothing has changed there’s still filth and I feel like it’s out of spite now). Not long after coming in from doing that I broke my vacuum. I had it plugged into the outlet that my washing machine was running on. My husband took it all apart and ordered a $10 switch for it in hopes that will work. I personally think it fried the motor and he said if it did a new motor is $50. I’m very thankful he went to all that effort to try to fix it. The part wont be here until Wednesday and I vauuum daily. This is going to be hard to deal with for a woman with ocd. The baby went to bed slightly earlier due to not having a nap. I laid there an extra half hour beside her looking up Christmas crafts until I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer. When I went in to brush my teeth I saw a horrific mess my cat had made. He got into the stock pot of deer blood I forgot to cover and got speckles off blood on the stove, wall, cabinet, floor and high chair. Photo is of the mess he made on the stove. Today I’ve had to stay out of the kitchen while my husband and stepson ground up 60 pounds of venison. I’m anxiously waiting to get back in and start my housework. My oldest daughter have enjoyed some boba tea together and my little one colored on the wall with crayons. Something no one has even done here before out of my own children and all those I babysat.

@sallypup it’s exhausting and I always think I’ll just have a calm day at home. Never seems to work out that way. I don’t wish my kids back to school tomorrow but when my husband is back at work tomorrow it will be quiet. All the noise stresses me out. During this neat grinding they’ve been doing all day the grinder is noisy and he has constant music playing. I get overstimulated by it and the baby did to but I’ve finally got her down for a nap.

@shaggin I wish there was a way for you to reach some compromises. Your kids are learning that it is okay to emotionally abuse another person.

I pity you having to clean up all day after these ungrateful slobs. You must feel like Cinderella... BTW, what is a button buck?

@snowy22315 a button buck is a smaller male deer that hasn’t grown horns yet and just has like little lumps there. I believe they usually say to let them grow at that point but it’s not mandatory and they were a bunch of teens hunting together probably excited to get anything.

@celticeagle it’s free range and no antibiotics or hormones or anything so that’s one good thing about hunting for your own food as well as much lower cost.

@celticeagle we have a freezer full of three deer now. This is more than we can eat in a year I really wish they had only killed two at the most. Last year my stepson got sick of eating it after awhile and I don’t want that to happen again this year. Hopefully we can use a lot of it I hate seeing animals go to waste. We did use all the ground venison last year but it was only 20 pounds.

@shaggin ......A person can get tired of such things but it's good for us. It is leaner than beef and more protein and vitamins.

When things are good, time flies . . . but when it's the other stuff, oh time seems to keep stretching. I wish things were easier for you - for at least the men/boys to clean after themselves.

@much2say yes it really seemed to drag especially today having to stay out of the kitchen while my husband and stepson were grinding up the venison for 8 hours or so.

I got my payment from ASP also. I hope once the part arrives for the vacuum it is fixed and you can get back to doing your vacuuming. I hope the baby enjoyed her first bubble bath.

@Tina30219 awesome how much did you get in your payment? I’ve already submitted 8 reciepts this month and have a few more to scan that I haven’t gotten time to yet. I never have a hard time reaching 10 and I always try to scan all of them since it gives me more surveys when I do.

@RebeccasFarm I forgot to mention on Friday a pipe from the tub drain came apart and got water all over the cellar after my little ones first bubble bath. It’s always something in this crazy house . We are all okay here though thank you.

@kaylachan it wasn’t the kids who created the filth though it was my husband on one issue and my cat on the other. But yes a very productive weekend . I didn’t get to be in the kitchen to do landry until 5pm so I only got one load of laundry done. It will take me two days of non stop laundry to catch up now so I’ll have to stay home instead of going anywhere.

@jstory07 well the baby had a huge meltdown. Too much noise in the house, not being able to go freely through the downstairs rooms and sit at her seat at the table has her out of sorts and she was just overtired. She’s been asleep in my arms now for about 10 minutes. I can’t really do much so I’m just enjoying holding my sweet baby.
