Busy day today, I have to call those apartments and interview them using an alias (have to disguise my voice as well if I get the same person who conducted the tour) to inquire about another apartment, then finish the shop and get it turned in. I also have to go to town and the post office today. I need to pay my personal property tax as it is due to tomorrow. This would be the tax on my vehicle. Does your state have personal property tax on cars, motorcycles, boats etc.?

Yes, places that probably really need reviewing don't have them done, because of course these have to be paid for. Can you move, or do you have to wait for something to become available elsewhere? Virginia has lots of expensive things to keep some of us in the poor house.
. However, there are a lot of freebies too, particularily in DC for those close enough to get there on a regular basis so I guess it comes out in the wash.

@snowy22315 Right now, I don’t have enough for another pet deposit, and sadly, this is the nicest available. One place is nicer, but has a waiting list, and they said it is very long.

@AmbiePam I am not sure if you consider yourself disabled or not, although it seems you are, senior housing apartments are often open to the disabled. Maybe you could check into something like that. At least you won't have to deal with psycho neighbors or at least hopefully not. It wouldn't be the same kind of stuff going on at least. By the time most get to be seniors they have calmed down a bit. Couldn't your dad and step mom help with a pet deposit?

This one costs more than it should. All it does is go up.

@snowy22315 - We pay very little for the car because it's new and does not pollute a lot. For the houses it is the same from the past 10 years.

The personal property taxes aren't too horrible but the more expensive the vehicle the higher they are.

Mine gets paid along with my mortgage fortunately. I half expected the credit union to be mailing me something that there is not enough escrow in my account to pay it, and my mortgage will go up again, but thus far hasn't happened. They already jacked it up once this year. I guess they figure that is enough..

@Marilynda1225 Yep, I should be eligble for property tax relief this year though..and that will cut down the expense alot. My mortgage may actually go down...

@snowy22315 hope there's enough in your escrow and that they won't have to increase it again. There's enough expenses without additional increases
