I was just sitting here thinking about stocking stuffers. What do you stuff them with? We always try to do them at Christmas. Dollar Tree has some unique coffee flavors. My mom and bro in law might like those. I had wanted to actually get everyone those mini USB vacs I found there, but I have not seen them again. I am getting sis some bird seed. Friend I have no idea. Actually I might get my nephew some coffee as well. He doesn't eat anything, but I know he likes coffee. My dad,we will see..some sort of treat perhaps. He likes nuts. Ideally, I would be putting some nicer items in the stockings..but Santa is broke this year. Still waiting on a check to come in too. I hope I don't have to wait until after Christmas..

You can also put gift cards or fruit in them.

We have continued the stocking tradition well into our advanced years.

@snowy22315 Christmas is only presents under the tree, stocking is for the Epiphany day, adults can have their socks with sweets if they like, we thought that we have enough food during the holiday and dropped the "Befana" sock tradition.

We always put "socks in our stockings" when my kids were young, plus some snackables like jerky and granola bars and fruit to eat as we opened presents. That way we were not starving and cranky.

Stockings are always fun as kind of like a prequel to Christmas.

We do stockings just for our immediate family . . . me, Hubby, and the kids. We don't have a fireplace . . . we hang them from atop a tall storage unit in the living room. The stocking stuffers are mostly small candy type stuff. In the past it used to be small gifts/toys, but it really is enough to have the gifts under the tree . . . so candy/snacks it is.

Yeah,no fireplace here, but not really needed. We will be up in PA and everyone has a stocking so why not?

This year our stockings are packed, but I normally put them out. I hope that your check comes in soon.

We usually do a stocking for Eli, and try to put a few things in it at least.

I used to do stockings for my family. I’d sent off for free samples all year, and when I would see something good at a dollar store, I would get one of whatever that is. I think a good idea for stocking stuffers is getting an advent calendar, and dividing those 24 or 12 (if it’s a mini advent calendar) up and putting them into the different stockings. From brain teasers for teens to hot chocolate to tea to nuts for adults, if one gets the reasonably priced ones it could fill up a stocking fast. But Dollar Tree really can’t be beat.
When I had a job, I really did up the stockings, but survey money isn’t close to the same thing as when I brought in a paycheck. That’s when those free samples came in handy.

I was just talking to a stranger about stockings and candy at Walmart today. We both agreed it costs a fortune to buy sweets. This is only the second Christmas in 50 some years that I aka Santa haven't had stockings to put candy in. Kind of sad. We hope to go to Tammy's for Christmas and I guess she'll put out stockings.
All eleven I made over the years. Very sweet memories. I guess everything in life changes eventually.

When Mike and I were first married we did stockings. All you mentioned sound like great ideas for your stockings

Food treats are always good! They fit just right and are the right color. I love my favorite jelly beans or nuts or something like that. Gift cards are good too. I hope your check comes in. Have a good evening. No, we no longer do stockings.
