Friends, I will have to clean up the deep freezer.
And I will have to do it soon as it is not something you do during summer.
I was looking for some ground meat. I´m sure that I ahve some. But none was around. Yey I found some ossobuco bones and a big piece of something that can be any kind of white meat.
I took out both and I have thawing in warm water the ossobuco. I´ll cook it today and I´m almost sure that I´ll eat the marrow near the stove on a piece of bread. I´m sure that that will be my lunch as the marrow is ready a lot before the rest of the meat is soft. In a while I´ll check if the meat is thawed and will take out my Dutch oven.
The other piece is a total mystery. I will have to wait until it is thawed to see what it is. But I will let spring air do its job and won´t hurry with it. Tomorrow comes Anita and maybe Mario and a big piece of meat is welcome.
Do you have problems looking for frozen items inside your freezer?

Our freezer needs to be defrosted too. It's a big chest freezer. There are a couple of things lost in there. Have a good day.

I usually do that but I must have been in a hurry then. I add another plastic bag to all meats and put the written paper between the 2 bags.

A couple of times I have the dumb idea that I will find something by the way it looks. That´s when they get lost.

I have a medium size deep freezer, and most of what I have there is either raw meat or home made prepared food. Usually I label it. This escaped me. I must have been in a hurry.

I label literally everything I put in my big freezer. I don't like mystery meat...I want to know what I have so I can plan. Get yourself an indelible black marker or somesuch, so that you can write on the packages what the item is. Or, use blank stickers and write on them.

I usually do this. I don´t need a special marker. I like to put everything in 2 bags so the written paper is between them. I must have been in a hurry.
