It is very unusual for a panther to be seen taking a nap behind some shrubs near a stairwell at the Bonita National Country Club on Monday morning in Bonita Springs Florida.
Deputies with the Lee County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) answered the emergency call for help from the concerned persons at the country club to deal with the trespasser.
The deputies had help from employees of the Florida Fish And Wildlife Conservation Commission who was taken away from the country club and the panther to a local animal hospital where it will be given a medical exam before being sent back to the wild.

I am so very glad that they knocked this kitty out and didn't just track it down and kill it.

Do you mean to tell me that this club has a prejudice against letting panthers in as members????

Neither did I even though there is an ice hockey team in Florida that is nicknamed the Panthers.

Thank God it did not harm anyone. Is there a forest close by ? How did it come there?

The panther was saying.."Following asleep at the country club and waking up in a Vet's office, I hate it when that happens"

I am in agreement with you since dealing with panthers is a dangerous situation.
