Do you Schedule your day?

It may seem to be a stupid question to ask or even do but if you think about it, if you have so much to do in a day you don't know what to do 1st at times, am I right? Well I work with what time I have in a day to get as much as I can get done, Back when I was raising rabbits time was of the most emportant thing. I would get up at 5am, have my hot chocolate "my coffee" take 2 hr to tidyup what needed to be done laundry, cook a meal for later to eat. get hubby's meals ready when he would come home from the road driving a simi for 40 yrs. I would make him his potatoe salad a good size bowl & another good size bowl of Tuna salad, egg salad, egg sandwich's, that would last him about a wk or 2 depending. So from 5 am to 7am I had what I needed to do indoors done, So by 7am I would head out & tend to over a 100 rabbits pulling babies, breeding, cleaning baby box's, making box's or building cages, dressing them out, feed water. it was a job to get whatever I had to do in a matter of 4 hrs, so by noon, I had time to go pay bills & shopping. When I would have to go pay bills & do shopping it would take me 2-4 hrs depending on the weather & trafic & time of day, I had to keep things on track cause I also had 3 acres to keep up & 4 dogs, While hubby was on the road. I was the only person that had to keep up with everything including keeping hubby on track as well with his job cause he didn't want me working (that's why I got into the rabbit's) Now over 20 yrs since them days, I've learned a lot about Scheduling time to get everything done & we all know our time isn't ON OUR SIDE ! it's what God bless's us with.

@2ndchances24 That is not a stupid question by the way. I like to plan out my day and try and get all done in a morning and then not have to go out the rest of the week unless I need something.

@2ndchances24 While being unwell, it's been extremely hard to plan anything. Because I could plan a whole day or even schedule an hour aside for something I need or want to do but feeling sickly comes out of nowhere and I cannot do the thing I planned for anymore. I have still been writing To Do Lists here and there but I no longer put a time limit on them because there's no point when sickness makes me just want to lay down. Otherwise, before this bullcrap, I loved scheduling my time because accomplished goals during the day makes me feel good.

I hear ya, I use to do the same thing but since I crashed like I did I've just let my days take on their own thing cause like you said when you don't feel good it's hard to make anything work or take shape like we plan.

@VivaLaDani13 It's not fun or easy trying to get stuff done when things keep holding us back.

Wow, those rabbits sounded like a ton of work! I usually make a list in my head only, but I used to write a list of five things that needed to get done every day, and then cross them off as I did them.

Oh yea with as many rabbits I had would take the day to get everything done that had to be done, like I'd take to day to breed, a day to dress some out, A day to pull babies & so on.

Its not a stupid question. I usually cant plan my day as I do not live a normal life due to circumstances and bad people.

I wouldn't let anything distrack me from what I had going cause I lived on a set schedule & if I had any 1 that would show up & I was busy I'd put them to work & if they didn't want to help they'd leave & I'd go about my day.

Even now that I am retired I like to plan my day. I did when I worked with my husband because we were very busy, I still do now.

I don't know if what I do is scheduled in that I usually have a plan or things I want to get done. But I am not sure I am necessarily rigid in any of that. Things of significance go onto a list and I check them off as I do them and as time allows.

@2ndchances24 That I can definitely agree with. Finding oneself down rabbit holes can become way too easy. lol

Some don't think about things as this they just do what they have to do is all. But if they would schedule their day they would find their day to go a lot better, & waste less time doing stuff.

it dosen't matter if your retired or not I was a wife of a truck driver always at home doing what had to be done & just did my dudies on a shedule. that it gave me some extra time for other things & not be so stressed at the end of the day like most are.

I will plan out the things that must be done, but I usually don't plan anything else. Many things are just a last-minute memory. Most of the time I work in the company, which has fixed start and end times. I often feel that my own time is relatively limited

shedeuling your day with things that has to be done goes a lot easier than just doing them blind.
