Chris England who was a former firefighter even though which company he worked for in the past was not mentioned insisted he was doing his duty to save lives even when is off the clock. Chris was driving in his auto with members of his family from Alabama to Bowling Green Kentucky on Saturday afternoon on Interstate 65 North in Roberson County when he witnessed an auto accident that involved a truck that flipped over and landed on the roof when it stopped spinning near the Portland/Orinda exit. Chris along with an eyewitness to the accident ran over where the truck was when he saw an 11 year old girl trapped inside of the truck. Chris along with the eyewitness were able to get the girl out of the truck. Sad to report that the mother of the girl was dead which made Chris sad that someone died in the auto accident. It took about 30 minutes for firefighters to get all of the accident victims taken care of and transport the 11 year old girl by ambulance to a local hospital. There was a total of five persons who were in the other auto that crashed into the truck that killed the mother of the 11 year old girl. One man who was inside of the auto that crashed was taken to a local hospital where is in stable condition. The other four auto accident victims involved in the accident which included an adult and three children were not seriously injured. The cause of the auto accident is being investigated by the authorities. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/us/...

That’s some serious heroism, even when off-duty.
