Would you like to try any fruits or veggies that you haven't yet?

In the past, I was talking to an American colleague in China. He suddenly said that he was craving eating some meals with artichokes. I got curious and wondered what it tasted like. According to him, it tastes the same as other veggies on the market. If I have the chance, this is one of the vegetables that I want to try. We do not have this in the Philippines. How about you, guys? Image Credit: images.immediate.co.uk

@Shavkat I will stick with the vegetables I know and like to eat. No cravings for me here. I can get the vegetables I like. So, can he find what he wants that he has a craving for?

No, he did not because there are no artichokes in China. It is also like in my country, we do not have like this.

@Hannihar I think he does not have enough time to request somebody in his country to be delivered.

Really? I usually put some condense milk to make it tastier. It is an option to use some cream to blend the taste.

I love artichokes, they are good, particularly those with spikes on the top. Artichokes have a slightly nutty flavor, they are crunchy.

I am glad that you tried it. How does it taste? Is it similar in taste to our local vegetables here in our country?

@Shavkat I can’t describe how it tasted but it was delicious. There is no similar vegetable that we have in the Philippines.

Love artichokes, always struggle to get them though. If you ever get them, try it with poached eggs and fresh bread.

@TraveOnWorld That sounds good to me. I would really want to try this in the future. I have not seen it in all supermarkets in my country. If they are available, they might be so pricey.

@Shavkat They have slight nutty taste with a very slight bitterness. I think the closest taste is almost like fresh green asparagus.

I love artichoke spinach dip. If you ever have the chance to try that, make sure you do, and try to get bread to use for the dip.

Some weeks ago I noticed a new product being sold in my local supermarket, it was Banana Blossom . This is sold in a tin and I always wondered what banana blossom would taste like. In fact I even wondered what it would look like especially after being squashed into a tin. It is rather expensive so I have not brought any yet, but I might like to try it if other people who have eaten it say it is nice.

We usually use fresh banana blossoms in some of our delicacies. They are so yummy if being cooked with "kare-kare.". I have not seen it in a tin can. I am sure it is a pricey one.
