I was going to go to get my pills in the morning but I did not want to get up. My feet are still too swollen and today it was cold again.
Just when I was thinking on going in the evening, Angelica called me. Angélica is a new friend that is one of the shoppers that have brought me these las years. She is lovely and we have many interests in common.
She wanted to come and visit me and I told her that I had to go to the Drugstore. So after she finishes her work, she´ll take me to the drugstore and we´ll go across the street to a small supermarket where I can buy bread and something for it.
I want ice cream but the last shopper did not find the one I want. If we find it, I´ll buy some and have that too.
She is very nice.

She offered to the ride as a friend. And she told me to ask her for anything I wanted in groceries and she´d bring it to me. I "paid" her by buying very nice things at the small supermarket nearby and she stayed for a 2 hour visit, eating and talking. The ice cream I bought was a sort of dessert ice cream with raspberries and meringue.

We did find a sort of iced dessert with raspberries and meringue. It couldn´t be better.

We camw back and she stayed for over 2 hours. I enjoyed her visit very much.

From what I gathered from our conversation, she works too much and does not have real friends. She came from a small town in the south so that her daughter had better studies and to take care of her very old father. She did not mention ever having a husband and she told me that she did not have time for dates.

@LadyDuck I wondered when I saw how eager she was to speak with me as she is much younger than myself. But after I talked to her and after I knew of her story, I feel that she doesn´t really belong anywhere. She comes from a low class family and she is half Mapuche. In many circles she would be an outcast. Where she belongs because of her studies, intelligence and own merits she is not accepted because of her origins. All this is disgusting. I see it everywhere in the world.
