Good News on Crime

A criminologist, Jeff Asher, says that data shows crime has fallen in 2023 although 80 percent of Americans and 92 % of Republicans think crime has gone up. It seems that social media is playing a role in this misinformation. But data is showing that in 2023 property crime fell 6.3%, violent crime fell 8%, and is at its lowest level since 1961. Every category of crime fell except auto crime.

I wonder if any of the citizens in NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Detroit voted in this study.
