Happy New Year's Eve - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening. It's still daylight at 4:19 p.m. So, maybe the longer days are starting to show.
It's been a good last day of the year. I have as always, much to be thankful for.
I'm thankful I got up at 2 AM and went back to bed at 4:30 for two hours after I posted the Bible study. Another night where I couldn't get back to sleep.
I'm thankful I got up at 6:15. I changed my sheets and made my bed before church and watched one episode of Drive Through History - The Gospels on Tubi. It's a very good series.
I'm thankful for church this morning. I invited a few people to my open house tomorrow. I was also the last person to leave after getting the counting done. I had help. You can't do it alone.
I'm thankful I got the shopping done for tomorrow's New Year's Day open house. I spent more than I expected, but that's okay. Whatever isn't eaten tomorrow will be okay for a few days, though I plan to send the chips home with someone. I have lots of fruit and veggies. My fridge is stuffed.
I'm thankful I got the turkey in the oven. It should be done in half an hour.
I'm thankful I could spend this last day of 2023 with you. I know some of you are on 2024.
Happy New Year to all of you and I hope you have a prosperous new year. Do you make resolutions? I make goals. My number one goal is to get my weight under 200 and no longer be prediabetic and get back to the pool. I tried my suit on this morning. I can almost get it on. I still need to lose a bit more to make that happen.

Happy New Year! I'm like you, I don't really make resolutions, I sit down and make goals. I just got back from my vacation at Disney, so I haven't had time to sit down and make my 2024 goals yet. But I will get it done this week (there's goal #1 right there! LOL).

@just4him I've started working on them tonight. I won't get them all done tonight though, because there are a few things I want to research a little bit more before committing to a goal. But I'm off to a good start.

Sounds like a full day for the last day of the year. But that's good to hear it was good
Good luck on getting under 200, and that's good you can almost get your suit on, getting closer. My first goal will be to get under 200 as well

And that is good news that you are, almost to "onederland" as they say when someone gets back into the 100s.
Thanks, I hope so too...well I would like to by the time I see my endocrinologist but that's only like 3 weeks away
