A male dog named Thor was seen running away from his home in Madison Wisconsin on Thursday morning on a beltline traveling west when officials of the Wisconsin Department Of Transportation (WDT) managed to capture the dog and return him to the dog sitter admitted the dog he was charge of get away from him while he was taking Thor for a walk. After Thor was captured by the WDT officials, Thor was taken to animal control officers. The owners of Thor were aboard a ship on a cruise when Thor was on the run for three days on the beltline before Thor was reunited with his family at a later date. Thor was lucky that no one was hurt by being hit an auto or an accident happened on the road. Link is upi.com/5941703878873 via @upi

I know what you mean since seeing a dog running on a road is scary since I have to deal with stray cats running on a street near my relatives home.

Poor dog! The sitter must not have had enough experience.

Most likely what happened with the dog sitter not having enough experience to handle Thor.

It could have been happened that Thor was mistreated by his dog sitter.

I do not particularly like to mind someone's pet like that, as they often give you the dog harness to use, and if something goes wrong, if it was not tightly enough setup, a dog can give it the slip, and run off. I had someone's dog in my house a few weeks ago, minding it for a few days, and it was asleep on the couch in the TV room. I was in my study, a long way up the front of the house, when I saw a large blowfly land on the inside of the screendoor, which I then opened, without thinking too much about it, and shewed the fly out. Just then at a lightning pace, the dog shot past me, out of the opened door and was gone up the street. It must have heard the door open, woke up and belted for the door. I was real lucky that I called its name and it came back to me, otherwise, it would have been a disaster.

@Deepizzaguy l was stupid, not thinking enough about my action. That minder, in your story, would have felt very relieved when they got the dog back too.

I know how that feels when a dog sees an open door and runs away.

Thor was very lucky. Didn't his people leave him with someone? Not very responsible.

@celticeagle I am sure Thor got away from his dog sitter when he was overpowered by the strength of the dog who was likely chasing another dog or cat.

The owners of Thor left him a dog sitter while they were on a cruise.
