How to get back into writing my poetry book?

I started working on a new poetry book called Seasonal Memories a few years ago (or was it more?) and haven’t written anything new for it in a long time. I don’t even open the manuscript file and try to write, regardless if what comes out is good or not. Not sure how to get myself back into it. The book isn’t going to write itself. It’s not like I’m in a rush or on a deadline to get it out there. But still, it’s something I started so I should finish it. Even if no one will care to buy it.

I never push it when I don't feel like writing. I just wait for an inspiration. Hopefully you'll write again soon. Have a good day.

I don’t like to force or push it either.

I understand you. I have the same problem with many things I start. I lose motivation.

How does one gain back motivation?

Maybe drink some Red Bull and it will activate your writing part Lena. But seriously, I hope it can happen soon.

I never tried Red Bull. Not into energy drinks.

Sometimes you need a deadline to get these things done.
