Cashier was eating

I usually bring a snack with me to work. So I just walked to the supermarket and bought a 3 pack of Mars bars. When I got to the cashier, I was stunned to see the cashier was busily biting into a sandwich. She continued to finish her bite, with crumbs falling and all. I politely asked her what she was eating and made a comment that you must get hungry mid morning. But I'm kinda struck to how rude that is. I mean couldn't she wait until her break or no customers are there?

@Karusa You are right about that. It is not ethical.

Maybe not, but I don't think it's right to eat on the job

I agree that this is extremely rude, I do not think that they are allowed to eat if it's not their break here.

It felt so awkward to watch her munching away.

@Karusa It's also a total lack of hygiene.

In 99.9% of all stores here, this would be against the rules, and for good reason. It's bad decorum and unprofessional.
