I am amazed that a Bartlett Tennessee resident named Dale Sanders who is nicknamed "Greybeard" and is 87 years young took the adventure of a lifetime by paddling from Lake Itasca Minnesota to Luling Louisiana which is the length of the Mississippi River starting on his birthday June 22 2022. Dale was able to reach his dream of setting a Guiness World Record of being the oldest male to travel by canoe he length of the river in 87 days which ended on August 31 2022 which is around 2,350 miles on his own. Dale credits his faith in God and his desire to stay active is the reason he has been living for a long time. Congratulations to Dale for setting an example for all of us to follow that age is just a number and we can achieve our goals when we set our minds to follow our dreams. That is a fun thing to do. I wish I could do that if reaching such an age.

@Deepizzaguy I just want to enjoy the aging process, as my grandmother, age 103, experienced. She lived life to the fullest at this age.

He looks a big man. I hope he didn't fall into the water at any time in his journey. 87 days is the number of his years old too. A coincidence maybe, or not?

That is what I am thinking that 87 days of travel as well as leaving Minnesota to Louisiana on his 87th birthday is a coincidence.
