An expensive shopping trip

Hubby decided to take me clothes shopping yesterday to a store not far from where we live. Spent a lot of time there trying on clothes—some in different sizes—and trying on stuff multiple times to make sure it fits well and I feel comfortable in it.
I ended up getting ten items: a brown belt, two pairs of regular jeans (light blue and green) a pair of dressy jeans (black with sparkly stripes), a pair of dressy black pants, two sweaters, a black spaghetti strap tank top, a dressy black top, and a multi-colored light jacket that can be worn either as an outfit top or outside.
Two of the items were 50% off but the rest were full price. Total came out to almost two thousands bucks. And that’s with the 2.95% charge for using a credit card.
I didn’t expect my shopping trip to be that expensive. Even hubby was shocked at the total.

That's expensive for 10 items. I shop online at a couple of inexpensive websites. I hope you enjoy your purchases. Have a good weekend.

I have no room for them in my bedroom closet. The ones on hangers I put in another closet but the ones folded I have no shelf room for. They are all in the bag still.

You wouldn’t spend that much on your wife? The total could’ve been worse.

I would never spend that much in one shopping trip. Good thing for credit cards though. On the other hand, if you charge but can’t pay in full when the statement comes then you end up throwing money away on the damn interest.

@porwest I hope hubby will pay for it in full, even if it means going into savings.

Very few things give me sticker shock these days. Normal cost of living is up everywhere nevermind in markets like retail. The price of anything is not a surprise. Hell, I dropped 300 on Chilly, and I wasn't as surprised.

@RebeccasFarm haha. I hate when places charge a fee for credit cards. That’s not fair.

Yep. It was that much. Good thing hubby had some cash on him so he didn't have to pay the 2.95% on the whole amount.
