Thanks to the actions of the Guelph Fire Department and the animal rescuers in Ontario who showed compassion for a female raccoon that was trapped inside of a sewer grate of Wednesday of last week who. After the animal rescue team was not able to pull the female raccoon free from the trap, they called the Guelph Fire Department for assistance. After the firefighters were able to lift the grate, the animal rescue members took the raccoon to their animal shelter to be taken care of by giving her food, water and a warm towel before she was released to her home the following day. How did the raccoon get trapped inside of the sewer grate remains a mystery. Link is upi.com/2501706132273 via @upi

The raccoon may have fallen into the sewer somewhere else and then wandered through the sewer system until it ended where it was found.

@Deepizzaguy Why's that? Do people in Ontario often lose their way?

Those sewer grates must be heavy. It takes hefty firemen to be able to lift them. Good for the raccoon, as it got rescued
