Thanks to the actions of a concerned neighbor in Houston Texas who witnessed a house on fire on Wednesday morning, one male and one female who was inside of a two story home that are handicapped and needed to be rescued. It is a case of being in the right place at the right time since the fire station is located across the street where a single story house was on fire and the fire spread to the next door neighbor's home that is a two story house. The firefighters in the neighborhood had to call for help from other fire stations to put out the fire. After the two persons that were rescued by the firefighters were taken by an ambulance to a local hospital where they are being treated for their injuries and are expected to make a full recovery. There was no one inside of the single story home that caught fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the authorities. Link is click2houston.com/news/local/202...

It is interesting that the fire station was just across the street, but the firefighters in there did not smell the smoke, and needed to be alerted to the fire, by an alert neighbour. It must have been a big fire to require assistance from other fire stations too.
