It is 7:53 am and I already have 3 things going on in the kitchen.

I've sauteed a mix of veggies (red onion, zucchini, tomato) to use in scrambled eggs. I mixed up dough for pizza. Now I currently have butter melting/browning on the stove so I can make Smitten Kitchen's salted brown butter rice krispy treats. On deck is a lemon ricotta cake and banana bread. I have a zillion lemons to use and the bananas are on their last legs. It is funny that I am making so many dessert/sweet things because that really isn't my thing but I need to go with the ingredients that I have and need to use. I'll drop the lemon ricotta cake in the faculty room on Monday. The paras always love when I leave them treats.

Paraprofessionals. They are aides for students with disabilities. They typically work one on one with a student and go through the day with them. They don't have a classroom of their own so their home base is the teachers' room. They cheer when I show up with a baked good in the morning.
