I think bigger is better my wife disagrees?

Every time I use our laptop I blow up the screen so it is easy for me to read. My wife thinks it is crazy. She said you can see this in Chicago. The normal print on the computer I have to wear glasses to see it. I don't like wearing reading glasses if I don't have too. She starts out with the words are so big it takes up all the page. I think out of all the things computers can do this was the best and coolest feature nobody ever talks about. It is like going to the movies and seeing everything you print larger than life. How great is that. It maybe only be words because I am still learning how to download photos. Everything I say you have to use your imagination. It makes you think. It makes me think because all I have is the previous line. When you hit to send pictures this happens. Our laptop is old and it just keeps spinning away out of control. Like it is black hole and sucking in everything I want to do and can't. Time is ticking and the black hole is at it again. This is one thing I can do. I can go as big as I desire if I am in the mood. The funny thing is sometimes I go so large I have trouble getting it smaller again. I create a lot of my own trouble. People that know computers say you just have to know what keys to press. I know what keys not to press. So that should make my job a lot easier. It doesn't.

I don't understand why your wife has problems with the size of the text you want to read. If you both use the same computer, you should put the size back to normal after using the computer so that she gets it as she likes it. If you have your own computer, the letters can be as big as you like them to be and leave them like that all the time.

So, by this logic, should she return the screen to the bigger text for him when SHE'S done using the computer? I mean, what's good for the goose is good for the gander, right? Just saying. Why does the WOMAN have to be the one who gets it her way all the time? I mean, in my house I have to leave the toilet seat down. My wife never leaves it up for me. And I only leave the seat down because if I don't, my wife will murder me. And I don't want to be murdered. lol But on a serious note, why should he be required to have two steps (resize it up when he goes to the computer and resize it down when he's done) and the woman just gets to open up the computer with nothing else to do but use it?

I go to put the size back and I hit a few of the wrong keys. Poof what did I just do? I deleted something for sure. I am learning not to do that again.

We do share the same laptop and I should put it back the way I had it. That fixed the problem. An easy fix. Thank you.

There is a zoom feature where you can make print bigger or smaller. Fix it so you can read it. She can fix it so it is good for her. There is no reason to argue over it.

@Itsonlyadream Sometimes, it is better to work together to find the best way for each person. It is easier than fighting and more fun too.

You are right. Sometimes the littlest things become big things. Maybe I just caught her at a bad time. We all have our moments. Thank you so much.

Sounds like you might need to learn a few tricks of the trade in order to get the most out of your computer.

I see no reasons why your wife should criticize you because you like to have larger text on your computer, I also do. To upload photos here, you must be sure that the picture is less than 3 MB.

@akalinus It is written nowhere in the guidelines. I think they must be updated adding that: - members cannot write a BIO before they have posted 10 discussions - pictures must be 3 MB or under

Maybe you and half the world. My first computer class was in Data Processing and it was nothing like computers today. They have come along way. Thank you.

@porwest I might just surprise myself and become a computer expert overnight. Then again maybe not.
