Finished painting of the villa.

The luncheon club was cancelled today because of forecast snow, which didn't actually materialise so it was cancelled for nothing, so I didn't know how much painting I was going to be able to do because of my Mum and step-dad wanting the dining room table. As it turned out my step-dad didn't need the dining room table for his lunch, so I could set up earlier than I thought. There wasn't really much to do on the villa painting, but it took longer because of waiting for each part to dry before doing the next bit. I darkened some areas of the plant pots and painted in the dark area of stem on the far left plant. I painted in the rail going up the stairs. I used a very small brush from one of my rock painting kits. Then I had to cover up some blotchy mistakes in white. I darkened the foreground a bit. When that was dry I started on the flowers. I painted the orange petals first and left them to dry. While they were drying I painted in the door on the balcony and the low windows which you can only just see the tops of. I darkened the well, and added some dark bits under the big arch. I added some darker colour and some interest to the bit above the stairs next to the big arch. When the orange flowers were dry I started adding the leaves. I did some with viridian first, then when that was dry I did some in sap green, and when that was dry I added lighter ones with a mixture of light green and white. I also did the leaves of the large plant on the left. I added some more white to the top of the well where the brown had spread too much. I added some black for the street light and the cables and stuff. I added brown on the edges of the steps which makes them stand out more, and I did a stair rail on the other side of the stairs, where it's dark, which I hadn't noticed before. I added some brown to the post, and I think that's where I decided it was finished. I also did some more painting which I will talk about later. In the middle of doing my painting, I had to pack everything up so that my Mum and step-dad could use the dining room table for their dinner, and then put it all back out again after EastEnders so that I could do a bit more painting. Anyway, I hope you've been having a nice day. Have a great night.

This new painting is so pretty Sharon. I like the colours you choose and also those flowers in the pots, exactly what you imagine in a luxury villa.

@sharonelton Those could be roses or geraniums, beautiful colours.

It's a bit of a nuisance to have to continually pack up and unpack your painting gear.

Yes, it is a bit of a nuisance. I want to clear off my desk in my bedroom so that I can paint when I want to and I won't have to keep putting my stuff away all the time. When I go and live in Cardiff I'm going to make sure I use one of the bedrooms as s dedicated art studio!

You have been busy with your artwork. What do you do with these paintings when they are finished?. They would make a nice gift for somebody. We are supposed to be getting snow but I have not seen any yet. Plenty of rain as usual unfortunately.

Thank you very much. Yes, I have been busy. When they are finished I usually just put them in a display folder with pockets in. That helps to flatten them out after they've bent up during the painting process. I'm hoping to sell some of them eventually, but I'm still waiting for Paul to come round and see them yet. He's very busy. Same here. Mum says we are just on the border of where the snow is meant to be, and we've just missed it! Yes, it's dull and rainy here too.

@sharonelton I hope you manage to sell them . Your paintings are very good, maybe you should start taking orders from people who want this sort of work done.

Thank you very much. I always put my videos up way in advance, so when a video premieres it could be a week old or more!
