Spring Arriving

It has been a couple of days since I last cut through the park, to the High Street, and today I saw the first crocuses popping up. They always appear in this spot, so I hope a harbinger of forerunner of a mild Spring. Not that it made me feel any warmer on this chilly day, but hope springs eternal!

They have come out in a beautiful combination. Purple and yellow are contrasting beauties. Seems like we are going to skip spring this year. From cold chill days to sudden hot sunny days like summer. It's unusually hot for Spring this year. Some flowers are blooming well in my terrace garden too.

Good ol' global warming. While it has been chilly, there has been a lot of mild weather. Not sure if the crocuses are a bit earlier than usual

Tose crocuses are beautiful. I have seen some in my garden, they are only purple, none yellow for the moment.

I had heard on the radio that Spring is arriving about a fortnight earlier than several years back. Not a surprise

Sometimes it's very lucky that hope springs eternal or we'd be tempted to give up. I guess the park will be a mass of colour soon.

Actually, I think it is just that corner where they pop up, not that I've had a good look around.

Our daffodils are up and blooming. They are always our first reminder that spring is getting closer. Love the photo

Can't say I've seen any daffs, but then I've not been for a canal walk in while. Far too muddy!

Trees here are budding and it has us nervous and sad. It is way too early for trees to bud. We normally have over three feet of snow by now, but we've barely had any all season.

Yes, trees are budding here. The last time we had snow that stayed on the ground for more than a few hours was in 2012, I think

@Ronrybs The 2021/2022 winter season had a much more substantial snowfall compared to 2022/2023, and it was better than this year so far.
