We went to the big Tesco again today.
My Doctor Who Christmas special The Church on Ruby Road DVD came today! At last!
Earlier, as it was Valentine's day, my Mum and step-dad went out to the Samuel Johnson pub for lunch. They were a little late getting back so they just went to the toilet and then got ready to go to the big Tesco.
I had some letters to post today (and I remembered to take them today!) so I posted those first when we got to the shop. Then I went and put a fabric carrier bag type thing in the fabric recycle because one of the handles had come off. Then I put the soft plastic recycle in the recycle receptacle by the side of it.
My Mum came in with a trolley, and I tested it to make sure it didn't have a wonky wheel!
It was fine.
We went up on the lift, and the first thing that I did was I got a stamping magazine. Then I got water and 2 x prawn layered salads. My Mum got some polo mints.
Then I went and got two packets of nurofen lemon meltlets and some meno herb tablets for my peri-menopause! I went to look if they had any pads in stock for my Mum and on the way I saw a book by Davina McCall called Menopausing, which is all about the menopause! So I got that! There was only one packet of my Mum's pads so I got that.
After that we went to the fruit and veg section where I got blueberries, spring onions, strawberries, a red pepper, a carton of soy milk with no added sugar from the side, a lemon, a packet of stir fry and some edamame beans. Then I went and got my vegan yoghurts and a bottle of milk for my Mum. She only wanted one today as she'd got 2 large 4 pint bottles from the little Tesco on Tuesday! Then she got her puddings for Sunday. We got some Lurpack light butter and some grated cheese.
Next we went to the vegan and ready meals isle, and I got my not-chicken bites, some vegan savoury bite things similar to the falafel, and some savoury lattices. I got Mum some tuna and sweetcorn topping for her jacket potatoes. Meanwhile my Mum got her own ready meals.
Then we went to the ingredients and sauces isle and I got some olive oil. Then we went and got some microwavable egg fried rice for my Mum. My Mum said she was feeling tired, and would have to go and sit down soon. We went to the canned isle and I got a chow mein pot noodle for my step-dad.
After that we went to the cake isle and Mum got some chocolate swiss roll and I found her some sugar free chocolate spread.
Next we went to look for some Scholer, but we couldn't find any. Then Mum went and sat on a bench. She was tired because of going out to lunch earlier. I carried on with the rest of the shopping, and I was much quicker on my own.
Then I went to the crisp isle and got some crisps. Then I went to the teas and coffees isle and got some ginger nut biscuits for my step-dad. I got some decaf coffee for Mum and some Matcha green tea T-bags for me. Then I went and got myself some Love, Corn.
After that I went to the frozen section and got myself some vegan magnum ice lollies. I managed to reach a box of jacket potatoes for my Mum. Then I got some battered cod. I went to see if the salmon things were there, but no, they were still temporarily out of stock!
Next I went to get some toilet paper and some washing up liquid, and then I went to pay. I chose the till nearest to where my Mum was sitting. When all the groceries had been put through the till, I went to get the money off my Mum. When I came back the lady who was behind me in the queue said she thought I'd gone! She thought I was going like, no, I'm not paying! I'm off!
It came to just over £125 so I gave the lady £130.
Then I went and took my Mum her club card and change and sat on the bench for a bit drinking some of my water because we were a bit early due to me doing the last bit of shopping quicker! At about 4:25pm we got up to go down on the lift. On the way I saw this tiny baby in a pram. I had two blue tokens to put in the voting machine. When we got to the lift we got in the lift with the baby and her young parents. The baby was probably only a few days old.
When we got to the car park my step-dad still wasn't there and someone else was occupying the bench. He didn't take long to come though and then we were off home.
When we got home my Mum was tired and went to sleep on the sofa, so I unpacked the groceries and put them away all on my own. Then I sat down to have my dinner and watch some telly.
What have you lot been getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a great night.

It was fine.

What is a stamping machine? You just put decorative stamps on paper or what? I have only used stamp pads.

Stamping magazine, not machine! It has an A4 sheet of rubber stamps as a free gift, and the magazine gives you tips and techniques on how to use them. It also has an embossing folder, but I don't usually use those.

Oh my Sharon, you must be so excited that you finally received your Dr.WHO Christmas special!
It happens more and more that those supermarket trolleys have a wonky wheel, it is so annoying.
I am sorry your bench was occupied, but at least your step Dad was not long to come.

Yes, I am. Very excited!
Fortunately our trolley wheel was fine this week.
No, he was only a couple of minutes. My Mum would only just have sat down and he'd have been here!

@sharonelton - It is annoying not to have a place where to sit when you are waiting for someone.

Oh, I'm quite good at remembering. Actually I forgot the bit about the vegan and ready meals isle at first and had to go back and insert it!
It's my pleasure, I'm glad you could come along!
I did have a good day, thank you very much.
Have a great night.
