Oh No! I Might Not Get My House!

I just looked at the listing again and I see it is listed as "pending". If that goes through, it means I won't be able to buy this house and will need to find another one.
The only thing good about it is that I trust God enough to know that if I lose this house, it is not the best He has for me. He will provide another one for me,
Oh but this is disappointing though.

Did you put an offer in on it?

I cannot make a formal offer yet. Social Security is still processing my widow's benefits. Once that is done and only then, can I make an offer. However, I took a big step just now in contacting the realtor for the seller and briefly explaining the situation and telling them what my offer is going to be. I don't think my offer could be topped. It will just be dependent upon the sellers now, It would be a wait of 2-3 weeks, if they are willing to wait that long.

@capirani Is this your first house? Are you doing a home loan, or paying in cash?

Pending means that offers have been made but not yet accepted. When I contacted the realtor, he said it is now in contract which means offers have been accepted but it has not been closed on yet.
No, I have not made a formal offer as I am still waiting on income verification info for my bank loan. Until that comes, I cannot make any offers because I don't have loan approval. This will be a couple of weeks.

I contacted the realtor who is selling the house and told them what was going on with the offer I planned to make and asked them if they could just hold off for another 2-3 weeks. Unless the other offers already made were better than mine, if mine was better than their offers it would do them well to wait. That's all I can do. That and pray. And keep looking.

I am sorry, but you never know, may be the offer will be rejected and you can have the house.
