Has anyone had Brunswick Stew? My Tom has wanted to make it for a long time, and finally today he made it. It was okay, but he put in a BBQ sauce that was a little sweet. Added vinegar, but still a little sweet. I had never had any before...not sure I want anymore. LOL

I didn't make it, but I DO know that Pulled pork and chicken are in it, along with BBQ sauce and Ketchup. I think it actually is the ketchup that is making it so sweet..Ketchup has a LOT of sugar in it.

@Ghostlady I think most BBQ sauces are full of sugar as well. I don't use it very often but then I normally only BBQ chicken and I only really like it made on a grill. When I use BBQ sauce in the kitchen it turns out too runny. I like a thick coating of it on the chicken.

Hope Not...just don't like the texture of the pulled meat in it. I would eat it, but hope Tom doesn't want to make it. Cost a bit unless you smoke your own meat.
