The finished painting of the frog.

Here is the finished painting of the frog.
I did the background in acrylic paint, but when it came to doing the actual frog I decided to use my acrylic inks. I also used a mini palette that came with my black canvases and luminous paints because I thought the acrylic inks would be too runny to put on my peel off paper palette.
I used the pipette on the ink bottles to sqeaze out the ink. I put some yellow and green ink in two of the circular wells on my palette then tested the colours on a piece of spare acrylic paper. I mixed some yellow and green together, then added some red to make a brown colour.
Then I was ready to start painting the frog. I put a thin layer of ink on the frog in patches avoiding where the lightest areas would be. I left that to dry for a bit. Then I added patterns and shading with a slightly darker brown. I mixed a more reddish brown for some areas and a very dark brown, almost black, for other areas and for areas that were in shadow. I
I painted in the frogs eye in black and while I was waiting for that to dry I continued to work on other areas of the frog. I put in the lightest areas with yellow ink mixed with white ink then edged it with brown to make it "pop."
When the eye was dry I went round it in white. I added more circles round the eye in different shades of brown with white edging. I put a bit of a brown edge round parts of him.
I shaded the bottom of him in a dark brown ink mix and when that was dry I added patterns and "bobbles."
The last thing I did was put a dot of white in his eye for realism. Then I called him finished.
I didn't do any more to the flower painting after the work in progress that I showed you. I will probably finish that next week.
What have you lot been getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a great night.

@sharonelton I’m glad you got the joke!
On a serious note - the painting is very good. I am mightily impressed
It looks to me like one of those hybrid European frogs? Mainly British, and a tad Pole.

Your frog is really cool! My husband's cousin took me to get my blood drawn and to get my hair cut. Have a good weekend.

@LindaOHio Thank you. I don't look either but that doesn't make it pleasant!

Oh, no! That's not nice!
Was getting your hair cut to help you get over ..... the other thing?
(I'm squeamish!)
