I know from experience that parade goers who attend Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans do have a good time enjoying the parades. Sad to say a piglet was being tossed around during a parade in the Big Easy even though the exact date of the parade was not published when three males were seen by a female tossing a piglet like a toy football before a stranger who was the eyewitness of this act of cruelty asked the male trio to hand over the piglet. The female then handed the piglet to officials of the Humane Society and the Metairie Small Animal Hospital who reported that the piglet was scared but not injured. The good news is that the veterinarian at the animal has taken the role of foster mom and named the male baby pig "Piglet." One thing to enjoy a parade but harming a defenseless animal is uncalled for. Link is msn.com/en-us/lifetyl...

Some people are really stupid and thoughtless. I'm glad the woman was able to rescue the piglet.

I am in agreement with you some people never think how they would like it if the shoe is on the other foot.

Poor piglet and I am glad he was rescued, Wish there were some really big and strong people who could take those idiots and toss them around to see how they like it,

I am in agreement with you that tossing a piglet around like a football during a party is very odd.

Yes, to take liberties with animals, and to act cruelly towards them, shows a poor character, and a mean-spirited heart too. We should never enjoy ourselves at the expense of another, be it animal, or human.

Animal cruelty happens far too often. I'm so glad Piglet was taken away from the woman.

I agree with you that animals are being abused by humans today.
