Cross the Brazos at Waco

You can’t deny that I’m a good country music fan. When I was growing up there was a popular song by Billy Walker called “Cross the Brazos at Waco.” Well, yesterday afternoon, I did just that: I crossed the Brazos at Waco!!! I picked a perfect spot, too, where there’s a lovely park-like setting for walking, running, or biking along the river. Additionally, there were a number of animal sculptures along the walkway. The funniest one was an elephant on a park bench. The one you see in the photo is a lioness with her playful cubs. It was a lovely walk and a great time remembering a favorite country song from my childhood. Here’s the Billy Walker song (Linda? NO!!!!!):
