Firefighters in Los Angeles rescue a horse that fell into a sinkhole

Thanks to the combined efforts of the Lost Angeles Fire Department with the assistance of Urban Search and Rescue, LAFD Heavy Equipment Operators, Los Angeles Animal Services' Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team and vacuum truck operators from Los Angeles Sanitation & Environment who had the very hard work of removing a horse that weighs 1,200 pounds who had fallen down a sinkhole in the property of his owner who lives in the Lake View Terrace property on Wednesday of last week who was close to losing his life.
The name of the female horse is named Lucky who is 20 years of age was rescued and returned to her owner safe and sound.
What was the cause of the female horse falling into the sinkhole is not known at this time.

That looks like a small sinkhole from ones I've seen in the news. I wonder if the owner knew about it or whether the horse falling in was the first sign of it? It sounds pretty scary.

That is a good question if the owner knew about the horse falling into the hole and called 911 or if an eyewitness called it in.

It must have been a big sinkhole, and the number of sinkholes opening up these days seems to be an increasing problem in the world.
It was lucky that the lucky horse, called Lucky, did not break a leg, and was rescued in one piece here.
