Deputy rescues an owl that was hit by an auto in North Carolina

Chatham County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) Deputy Wes Chafa answered an emergency call when a driver accidentally hit a great horned owl that was trapped in the grill of an auto on U S Highway 64 on Sunday.
Deputy Chafa was able to free the owl away from the grill safely. After the owl was rescued Deputy Chaffa handed the owl to a North Carolina Wildlife to examine the owl that had been shaken from the effects of the collision with the auto.
The owl was cleared by the wildlife official that the owl was not seriously injured, Deputy Chafa carried the owl to a nearby fence, where the owl was allowed to fly away safely.

A great horned owl, in a car, trapped in the grill, maybe it really wanted to be a new horn for the car, so the car is better horned then.
Jokes aside, it is good the owl was not hurt, and lived to tell its kids about its adventure in the auto.
