Running out of Time

Do you feel we are running out of time? So many things are happening simultaneously. Remember the beginning of the movie 'Love Actually' that shows so many things are happening simultaneously? It is impressed on my mind. Then one day all will be over. Do we know the purpose why we have come on earth? I haven't had the faintest idea. I only have a feeling I was sent. By whom? For what? I don't know. When by the end of the day, I go to my checklist, I find there's still some work left, pending for the next day. Mind is a great distractor.

What is the meaning of life? There have been different proposed answers to this question. People from different religions and cultures believe different things. I think there is not a real answer to this question.

@LadyDuck It's in the mindset. Life is like an ice-cream. Eat it before it melts, says some. Life is a game, play it, says some. Life is a challenge, meet it, says others. Takes a hell lot of time to process emotions and remain unaffected when fun bids good bye.

Hey! I totally get where you're coming from – life can indeed feel like a whirlwind of events, and sometimes it's hard to catch a breath. The beginning of 'Love Actually' captures that chaotic yet interconnected nature of life beautifully. Questions about our purpose on Earth are something many of us ponder. It's like an ongoing journey to discover what gives our lives meaning. It's okay not to have all the answers; many of us are still figuring it out. Your sense of being sent here, even without knowing by whom or for what, is intriguing. Sometimes, the journey itself is about exploring, learning, and evolving. As for the checklist, it sounds like you're pretty organized! Balancing daily tasks with the bigger questions about life can be a bit of a challenge. The mind, as you mentioned, has a way of distracting us, but it's also a powerful tool for introspection. If you ever want to share more thoughts or just chat about life's twists and turns, I'm here. Remember, you're not alone in navigating this journey!

That's thoughtful of you to say that. All I remember about being sent is the presence of some old wise beings pointing at a chessboard like ground asking me what all I wish to experience on earth and assuring me that God will be there, so I need not worry. It's an impression that came as a flash long long ago, I don't even remember how old I was.

That's good to know. It leaves us with a lot of undoing, unlearning, creating, connecting, silent sitting, arranging, sleeping, exercising, dreaming and doing practically all that we haven't done so far, given our health is fine.

Please watch. The director has touched some tender spots there. I think I've watched it thrice. Now, I am searching for 'City of Angels'.

We won't run out of time in my lifetime, but eventually, the whole shebang is doomed to disappear over time. The Universe does seem to have its own clock, and one day, its time will be up, I guess too.

@apsmine9 Well, we cannot get any more hours in a day, but we can get more days in our lives, by living healthier lives.

Guess, you're lucky you don't have too much on your plate. Sometimes 24 hrs is not enough for the amount of workload some have.
