Getting ready to go have burgers at the AmVets

Excited to get to go eat at the AmVets. I belong to the Auxiliary. We use to belong to the American Legion and enjoyed going there, but they decided to not allow smoking inside. We quit going. About 2 years ago, Tom found out about the AmVets on the Beach, and they allow smoking, so we joined. We both smoke, and really do not like going to bars anymore..too much crazy music. We go to have conversation, have a drink or 2, and enjoy a smoke while doing so. The AmVets don't have so many rules about joining like American Legion or VFW. I was never asked or told anything about joining the ladies at the American Legion, but was welcomed at AmVets. Nothing against Amer. Legion really, they have a right to exclude anyone they want. But still nice that AmVets include just about anyone who has served in the past or still serving today.
