Be Careful What You Sow

In 2021, a friend asked me to help her fill out an application online. I did. But she started getting emails from other places, besides. She don't know anything about cookies, and how you can be followed online, well when she saw this she accused me of trying to steal her information. I tried to explain, but to no avail. She stopped speaking to me, and said she told everyone I was trying to steal her info. She's a really good friend to Sada who I use to work for. She and I began to talk and she would come to Sadas and ask me to help her with various tasks, that she couldn't do. She asked Margie to ask if I would meet her at the library today, I did and it was closed. She asked if I would come to her house, I did. We were together until 3pm. She said she had learned a lot today, not that I know so much, just more than her. We got the application complete. I hope she gets hired. Just another case of she got hung by her tongue.

I'm a bit surprised you helped her after her behaviour. You're very generous.

Not really, just trying to get better. Usually when I'm done that's it for life. She is alone, I feel for people alone. It seems to be the norm now. Plus she's 78 years old.

@JudyEv She's not. But knowing her like I do I applaud her, her spirit is down right ugly

@popciclecold I think with some people you have to try to cut them some slack. And I guess at 78 she isn't going to change much.

I am sorry this person accused you without knowing that when we fill forms our data are often "sold" to other companies. She should apologize for what she did.

She should, but it had to hard for her to even ask. But I'll never get close again.

I'm sorry she didn't trust you when the e-mails bombarded her account. I'm glad you could help her with an application, and I hope she gets the job.

I think that she should apologize. We all make mistakes.

Exactly. But if she don't it's ok. I'll help her only when she needs it

You were extremely nice to help her since her ignorance is no excuse to treat you so badly.

It really did hurt my feelings, and she would see and not speak. But I knew she didn't know anything about tech stuff. I left her feeling really satisfied.

I'm surprised she never apologized. I'm trying to learn to forgive and move on; but it's hard. Have a good day.

Yes it's hard. But it was easy because when Sada would treat me badly, I could always call her.
