Good night, or morning (if you want to get literal about it)

It's midnight here. Which means, despite being dark out, it's actually the next day. It's offically morning. It's normal for me to be wide awake at this hour. In fact it's rare that I'm in bed before two Am, but I can still make my final post for the night. Discussion post that is. George is in bed, and I managed to get myself for the morning so I'd have less to do. I'll just give George his tube feed when I'd normally give him some milk to take his blood thinner and then give the tube feed half an hour later. Timing it that way, gives me a chance to do things and make sure he isn't missing anything. It'll also ensure he has an empty stomach before he goes in, too. Now if I could just get him to go shopping that'd be great.

I know you and George will be glad when he can get all of his nutrients from real food rather than tube feedings. I hope you both get some rest tonight.

I managed to sleep and he slept like a log. Doing the tube feeds really doesn't bother me. Having to disrupt the routine, that's the hard part. How George processes things has changed a bit. So when I have to introduce a wrinkle into our routine it can be difficult. Like I had to use the plunger push pause method, instead of gravity because of the time he got himself in the living room.

@MarieCoyle I know. He's been by my side when I broke my ankle. He knows that I am there for him and that's keeping him alive. I know that's why he survived to where I could get him transferred and him getting better. I'm starting to see his mood lift. I think a lot of that has to do with spring approaching and having 80 degree weather.

@kaylachan I admire how well you care for him. I know there's lots of love there...and I also know he would do the same for you if the situation were reversed. I hope he continues to improve every day!

George will get there. It just takes time. My husband has to get strong enough to sit up unaided and walk without assistance. Have a good weekend.

That's up to him. He technically can, he just doesn't really want to.

It's peaceful in the middle of the night when most people are asleep and everything is quiet.

I agree. Maybe I shouldn't have taken that bath, but I needed it and still managed to get to bed and get some sleep. I might pay for it later, because I crwled in bed around 4 30 and was up by nine.
