Dollar Tree Find: March 9th, 2024

We have been frequenting DT a little more these last few weeks while we are trying our hardest to make things work with the cards we are being dealt right now. Anyway we made a stop at DT before coming back to the hotel this evening, and I found this. I actually had seen it on our last trip to DT but decided to get a different kind of "ramen" noodles and skipped over on this one. Well tonight, was the day I decided to go ahead and buy it. The Rap Snacks brand has been around for at least a couple years. They have beverages and chips etc, but I hadn't ever seen these cup of soups until the other day, so I decided to get it tonight and try it. It says its Prime Rib Flavored. But I will be the judge of that. I will probably go ahead and make it tonight and see how it is. Although I will doctor it up a little bit and put some crackers or something in it to give it some more flavor. Have you ever seen these snacks, or tried them?

I used to love Ramen noodles, but I just can't have all that salt anymore.

You wouldn't have left this one, it was horrible. I was talking to @spiderdust when I made it and I took the first bite and that's all I did was take one bite. The rest of it went directly into the trash can because it was horrible it was like somebody had cooked my ramen noodles and dog food juice. So I will not be buying that again but I do like some Asian inspired ones that they sell

@porwest Yeah, I won't be buying that again, The rap snacks "brand" has a bunch of different items, and none of the ones I have tried have been spectacular. The BBQ chips were ok, but it's hard to mess up a bbq potato chip.

I am intrigued by this! I look forward to hearing the verdict. I doubt we have something that creative at our Dollar Tree.

Only tried this type of snack once and avoided it ever since. Hopefully they have improved since then!

I have to check ingredients for MSG...most ramen products available in stores have MSG, and this one is no exception. I just can't eat anything with it in there. I get super nauseous and usually get hives if I am anywhere near it, so I do check for it in order to avoid that! I do know that it can be really hard to eat on a tight budget. I'm sorry you are having a hard time right now.
