These Darned Cats

I say that lovingly. We have five. I have had cats in my life all of my years. I love them and their little oddities. Our one cat, Colbert, is a very handsome animal. He is very vocal and almost says some words at times if you listen. Last night late he was vocalizing in the hallway. I was able to talk very softly and relax him so he quit meowing and fell asleep. No, I'm not the cat whisperer, just have a sense of what they need and when they get it they are fine. Colbert is now meowing at the top of his voice. He will continue until my daughter wakes up and lets him out. My grandson will give him attention and love but he will still meow. You know what he wants, don't you? He wants to go outside. My daughter worries about them when they are outside. If she can't find them when it is time in the evening for them to be in she worries. They are her babies. The little dickens.
