Humorous Story about a Daycare Boy

Throughout the years, I worked parttime at four different daycare centers. The one I enjoyed most, was called the Monument Road Daycare. Peggy was the owner and I really liked working there. We weren't suppose to have a favorite child, but this was hard to do. All the daycare workers had a child they favored and so did I. Ryan W. was a foot doctor's son, with an imagination that excelled his age of three years old. When I had playground duty, he would sit next to me on the back porch and gibber away to strike up a conversation. He'd ask me all kinds of questions, so I had to really listen hard, to know how to respond. One afternoon, Peggy said that she needed to talk to me. I was wondering if something was wrong, but she assured me there wasn't. Peggy wanted to tell me that Ryan's grandma was alarmed, by a daycare worker by the name of Kharla. Of course, we only had one Kharla and that was me. Ryan had told her that Kharla at the daycare center, always lets him play with the baby alligators that crawled into the playground. Then, his grandma who lives in Florida realized, Ryan had made up this story! Alligators don't live out in the wild, in Michigan:) Peggy shared this story with me and gave everyone a good laugh! Now that he's a grown man, I hope Ryan doesn't let his children play with baby alligators!:)

@kobesbuddy I like alligators. We loved to spot them when we were in the Everglades.

Oh, my goodness. This young fellow sounds like my Uncle Fred. He would come home from school and tell everyone about the elephant ride he'd been on that afternoon. What a storyteller.

We had show&tell in the 4th grade. I would make up some wallop-pa-looser stories! Whatever came out of my mind, was even a surprise to me!

Poor Grandma! I can understand why she'd be a bit worried. Some kids seem more lovable than others.

And yes, his grandma imagined that "Kharla" was a negligent daycare worker!

That’s hilarious! Very cute though. Kids are amazing with what they think to tell people.

At times, the kids would scream and run away from a stick. They said that it was a poison snake! lol
