Thanks to the efforts of the United States Coast Guard (USCG) who answered an emergency call on Friday afternoon, a 72 year old man who was inside of a 40 foot sailboat was beginning to sink into the Gulf Of Mexico around 185 miles west of Fort Myers Florida.
The USCG sent an aircrew helicopter to rescue the only occupant who would have surely perished had the helicopter crew not come to rescue him and take the man aboard the sailboat to the Tampa Bay Fire Rescue emergency medical services at the Peter O Knight Airport to be taken care of after his adventure sailing in the Gulf Of Mexico.

Thank you Coast Guard. Love the sailboat aspect of this. I've always wanted to have a cruise on one.
