In doing my trivia questions today I found these interesting facts: * It takes the International Space Station approximately 92 minutes to make one complete orbit about the Earth. It travels at about 17,500 miles per hour and it circles the Earth about 16 times a day. It is at an average altitude of 248 miles above the Earth. * In the heart of Chicago is a work of art called The Bean. Officially titled Cloud Gate it is one of the world's largest permanent outdoor art installations made up of 168 stainless steel plates that were welded together. It was unveiled in 2004 It is the centerpiece of AT&T Plaza at Millennium Park and was created by British artist Anish Kapoor. * During Trump's administration the government was shut down for 34 days. It was when Trump was demanding funding for the wall that was along the U.S.-Mexican border which he was opposed vehemently by Democratic lawmakers. This caused hundreds of thousands of federal employees to either work for weeks for no pay or be furloughed. It went from December 21, 2018, to January 25, 2019. This was the longest shutdown in American history.
