Question: Have you ever had any rude or inconsiderate neighbors?

When my landlord's father came back home from Alaska, he kept on nosing around here and there. I tried my best not to cross our paths when going out of my abode. Sometimes hibernating can do the trick. My family and I are waiting for him to go back to Alaska. If I am not mistaken, he will be off across the border after 10 days. I cannot wait for him to take his flight away from here. What are your thoughts about this concern? Do you have a neighbor(s) like this? Image Credit: learning-mind.com

This is big bad news. I heard that he is going back for good in my country in November this year. There are so many family issues going on with them.

@Happy2BeMe I think it is fine as long as he will not do evil deeds to us.

We had a family living in the house across the road that was pretty rude, but they did not annoy us too much.

I gave a silent treatment to this grumpy old man. He stopped pestering us. I hope he is not going to attack us without any basis at all.

@LadyDuck I have to drop this bad news. According to what I heard from his immediate family, he is planning to stay here for good after going back to Australia.

My old neighbors are so good to us. It is where we grew up. Unfortunately, we need to move to this place.

Rude, inconsiderate, nosey . . . oh yes we had and have all of them . The nosiest one came to visit me every other day to gossip and she'd also snoop to see what we were up to. We all kinda let it go because she was also the watchdog of our street. I remember I could not wait for her to tell me she was visiting her sister in another state, but of course she would return after a week.

@Shavkat Ohhh, so he will eventually become a permanent resident there . Maybe, just maybe, he will be better behaved once he is settled in and having to live there . . . maybe he will be less nosey once he is familiar with his neighbors. The thing with our nosey neighbor is one day she just passed away suddenly .

@much2say I hope he will not be so nosey if he comes back. Lately, he has not pestered us. I incorporated silent treatment with him and his girlfriend, and it seems effective.

I am glad that you can relate to my situation at present. The landlord said that he is coming back in November and claimed that he is planning to retire here. This is an issue that we are fussing about.

We have always had good neighbours but some of our friends have not been so lucky. I hope the 10 days go quickly.

If I could only pull the time, I would surely do it. In fact, our place is so peaceful without him. Even the landlord and his family are so stressed out because of him.

I must say that I am like you. The reason why I am trying not to cross paths is because I might say things that he cannot swallow.

We used to have very rude neighbors on the left side of our house. Thank goodness, they were forced out of the neighborhood due to foreclosure.

We have not reached a year here in this place. When we came here, the landlord did not tell us that his father was in pain in the neck. Now, we are seeing the ugly truth about this grumpy old man. A few days ago, the landowner's wife informed her that his father-in-law was planning to retire this year. He is going to stay here with his girlfriend, who is still married to her current husband.

I have had a few neighbors who were a real pain. Some were too nosey while the rest hardly cared. Better to see his back ASAP.

You said it right. He really needs to see his back. He is really in pain in the neck, and even his family is not in favor of his attitude towards them and others.

Yes, I have rude neighbors. One of them almost got us killed. He started a fire inside our home when we were kids. My mom almost left for work and we were locked indoors alone.

These are evil people. It sounds like they cannot exercise self-control with this incident. Are they still your neighbors? I think they should be reported and sent to jail. I can feel how frightening it is. I am pretty sure this old, gurmpy man downstairs will not do this. If he does, he will be punched in the face, reported big time in prison, or even file a legal case against him.

Speaking of sense, I cannot understand why some local fellowmen are into this. They cannot even feel the sensitivity to stop, especially in the middle of the night.

@Shavkat My mother said that they were crazy because they always do singing at night with a loud karaoke. I can tolerate this as long they will not hurt me physically but it's still annoying sometimes.

Actually, our neighbors are not too close to our place. The grumpy father is just on vacation here. We are new here and did not expect that he would be like this.

We had one couple with two kids that used to fight on their front porch. They got evicted and everyone was happy about that.

I hope we could do that to my landlord's father, but we cannot. Since we just moved in here, we did not know that his father was like this.
