It's not the roof that is leaking. It's the skylight. That's what we figured but was hoping since the roof is under warranty. But they did cover it for us so it shouldn't leak now if we get another hard rain. They are supposed to call with an estimate for taking them out. We should have enough shingles to do the job. That will save some money. The sun didn't come out until about 6 this evening. By then it was going down. But we did get to 60 F. That was warmer than predicted. It would have been nice if the sun had come out earlier with it. I got everything done for today except I need to make some cigarettes yet. Then my day will be done. Just relax and enjoy the evening. Hope you had a good day.

I am terrified when the roof starts to leak. You never know what will happen next. I had that problem a few years ago. Luckily I got an expert that counted the broken tiles (I thought that they were about 8 but he counted 80).

We have skylights that were in when we bought the house. They are very bad about leaking. The roof itself is under warranty

@wolfgirl569 I was dumb enough to ask my husband to put beautiful ceramic tiles in my roof. They are much nices but not as strong as others.

Oh bummer! I hope the fix won't be too costly...maybe just labor since you have the shingles? Yay on hitting 60!!

That's what I am hoping. But labor can be the most expensive part

Quite often the sky lights leak in time, it is good that you found the leak now and will get it repaired.

It's a pity the skylight has to come out. Will it affect the lighting in the room much? Our guest bathroom has no windows but people are always trying to turn the light off when it's just the skylight letting in light.

That's probably the cheapest way. As its our bedroom it can be good to get rid of it. The full moon sometimes keeps us awake. In the bathroom wouldn't be bad
