27 March - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from partly cloudy Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's cold out there and windy. With the winter we had, and the temp it is, it should feel nice out there. However, we had a warm winter, so when it gets cold, you feel it in your bones. That's what it feels like outside. Cold to the bones. So, what am I thankful for today? I'm thankful for the sleep I got last night. I'm not certain if I got eight or nine hours. I know I went to bed at 8 and got up at 5:25, but I also had a phone call right after I went to bed. Either way, I got a lot of sleep which was good after the day I had yesterday. I'm thankful I could talk with the manager this morning. I told her what I saw and what's going on. I also told her I don't want to be the resident nark, but I know how fair she is, and let her know what I know about the things going on here that aren't right. It seems that with an e-mail my friend received, the one doing the Easter egg hunt, I'm going to be working with two other people in the community room to keep the books organized. I can do that. I didn't expect that, but all decisions come from the office. I'm thankful for the Bible study this afternoon. We're going through the parables. This one today was on the house built on the rock and on the sand. I'm thankful I could spend time with you today. It's a lot more than I expected, which is great. I love knowing what's going on in your world. I'm thankful for down time. It's good to relax before the next rush kicks in, and it will. That's what I'm thankful for today. What are you thankful for?
