Today's trip to the big Tesco.

We went to the big Tesco again this afternoon. After I'd got rid of the soft recycle, we went up on the lift. There was only one lift working again today. When we got into the main shop, Mum got 4 more bunches of daffodils. They only seem to last a week. Then I got an SFX magazine because it has something else about Doctor Who in it again. After that I got my prawn layered salads and I got just one bottle of water today. Next I went to get some nappy sacks for my Mum. She puts her pads in them when she's used them. Then I went to get my Mum some pads, but the ones she has weren't available again. Then we went to the fruit and veg section. I got the usual stuff, and also some carrots. My Mum got some bananas and some easy peelers. Then I got my yoghurts and Mum's milk and Mum got her puddings for Sunday. After that I went and got some lurpak lighter for my Mum and some Danish blue cheese for my step-dad. Next we went to the vegan and ready meals isle, and I got the same as usual, and some tofu. My Mum got her own ready meals. Then I went to the ingredients and sauces isle and I got ground ginger and olive oil. My Mum didn't want anything from this isle today. After that we went to the pasta rice and sauces isle. Mum wanted some microwaveable egg fried rice, but that was out of stock. I got some basmati and wild rice. Then I got some tamari soy sauce. Next I went to the canned isle and got a regular curry pot noodle for my step-dad. Then I got some sliced buns for my Mum and two packets of apple and cinnamon hot cross buns. And then we went to the cakes. I didn't need any cakes today. Mum got the cakes that she wanted. After that it was off to the crisps isle and Mum got some more Walkers French Fries and another tube of pringles. Next we went to the teas and coffees isle. I got some Matcha green tea T-bags and some sea salt flavoured Love, Corn. My Mum got some shortbread fingers for my step-dad. I Then we went to the seasonal isle and Mum got herself a small Easter Egg because she had a discount voucher! After that we went to the frozen section and I got some more vegan magnum ice lollies. I also got some chopped garlic, so now I don't have to chop it myself , and I got some quorn pieces. My Mum got some of her own stuff. I got some more prawns. Then I went to look and see if they had any of the salmon things. And you'll never guess what! They had! So I got two boxes of salmon chunks while I saw them! Next I went and got some toilet paper. Then I went back to where my Mum was and I put it in the trolley. Then I asked my Mum if she'd be alright if I went to the toilet. I took my walking stick and went off to the toilet. The disabled toilet was empty and the door was wide open, so I went in there. After I'd finished and I pulled the toilet paper, it fell on the floor. I mean the whole roll, not the bit I pulled off! So, after I'd flushed, I bent down to reach the toilet paper and put it back on the holder. When I came out of the toilet there was a lady outside waiting who was in floods of tears! I said, "Are you alright?" She said, "Oh, I'm fine, I'm just not feeling well." and she went into the toilet. I thought, if you're not feeling well, you're not fine, are you? I hope she's OK. I went back to where my Mum was and told her I wouldn't have been able to hold that till we got home! Then we went to the till to pay. I put the things on the conveyer belt, and my Mum did not lift a finger to help! The person in front had finished and gone, and the cashier was waiting. My Mum said to me, "He's waiting for you!" and I said, "Yes, well if you'd help we might get it done quicker!" My Mum helped me to pack again, if you could call it that. I was really tempted to go sit down and let her carry on with it, because I was very tired! Anyway I did go and sit down when everything was packed and my Mum was paying! After she'd paid my Mum came and sat by me on the bench. It was still only 4:10pm, so we had a few minutes to wait. I still didn't have a book to swap at the Tesco book swap. At 4:25pm we went down on the lift. My step-dad wasn't there yet and there was someone on the bench so we were going to stand and wait, but then the lady and the kid on the bench moved and said, "Do you want to sit down?" So we went and sat down, and my Mum said to the lady, "There's plenty of room." But the lady said, " No, it's alright. I'm just waiting for a lift." My step-dad wasn't long coming. We put the groceries in the boot and went home. It was pouring down with rain and there was a big black ugly cloud! It was like in those Sci-Fi movies when the space ship comes over and blocks out the sun! We got home and quickly got the groceries inside. Then I went to the toilet and took off my coat and shoes. Then we unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my dinner and watched the telly. What have you lot been getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a great night.

It was quite an adventure when you were in the toilet. I wonder what was the problem with that woman, she was surely not well at ll. I also went grocery shopping, it rained a little, but my husband had parked the car in the covered parking, we were fine.

@sharonelton I hate when the whole big toilet paper roll fells on the floor. I am glad because Aldi has a covered car park, at least we can load the car without getting wet.

If you could call it that! I don't know what was wrong with her. I hope she is OK. I hope you had a successful shopping trip. I'm sorry it rained a little. I like it when my step-dad parks in the undercover car park too!

@LadyDuck Yes, it wasn't very convenient! Yes, same with the car park at our big Tesco.

Today the respite worker came so had four uninterrupted hours to run my errands. First stop the pharmacy the pick up my husband prescription for injected blood thinners,(thank goodness I’ll only need to inject him for three days). Then the 25 minute drive to the bank and the dollar store to look for a couple of items on my list. Found a thank you card for our worker (today is her last day, next week we get a new worker). Next to Walmart….i had more success there. A sample size baby oil, a microwave container for me to use in the motel next week. A couple of magazines and snacks for me while hubby is in hospital and I’m in the motel.. another stop to pick up some bananas and then home to put everything away.

Nothing much happening today. We've been going for a walk each day every day this week which is almost a first for us. We come home via the supermarket and just get what we can carry home.

@LovesEverybody At least several times a week now I find a 10 exercise video on my computer and follow that. At least it's something.

Oh, that's good then. I'm glad you are going for a walk every day. I don't go for a walk every day. I know I should really. It's convenient that you come home via the supermarket and get what you can carry home.

@sharonelton Toilets have so many things that can go wrong, but I’m still grateful for them. That woman who said she was fine, just not feeling well - wonder why she can’t decide which? Strange. I’ve found a small Tesco in Larne and I’m excited about going there tomorrow. Asda is still dreary and dismal but their aubergines are 10p cheaper than Tesco so that cheered me up. I bought one then realised I didn’t need it.

Toilets are very interesting! I hope she is OK. I'm glad you've found a small.Tesco. I hope you enjoy going there. You bought an aubergine because they are 10p cheaper than Tesco, and then you realised you didn't need it?! I hope you can find something to do with it. It would be a shame to waste it.

Last Wednesday I did some Prolific and got enough to cash out. I thought I might need the money on Saturday when we went to the grocery store, but I didn't need it. On Saturday my mother and I got our haircut and went to the grocery store. My mother wanted to make a cake for Easter so she got some stuff to make it.

That's good. I'm glad about that. I've been trying to do some surveys but most of them say the study's not suitable or not available for my device! I've got some where I've got nearly enough to cash out but I'm not getting the right surveys to push it over the cashout threshold! I hope you got everything that you needed from the grocery store.
