The Cresent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas is said to be the most haunted hotel in the United States. In 1937 a con-man doctor, Norman Baker, bought the hotel and used it to push his "Cancer Cure". The Victorian building was operated as the Baker Hotel and Health Resort from 1938 and 1940 after Baker had been driven from his home state of Iowa. He founded KTNT(Know the Naked Truth) radio in 1925 in Muscatine, Iowa after getting a sponsorship from the Chamber of Commerce. He used this vehicle to sell his supposed cure which was a combination of corn silk, watermelon seeds, red clover, and water. He lost his license in 1931 after The American Medical Association pressured the Federal Radio Commission to shut him down. He was tried in 1940 for mail fraud and spent March 1941 to July 1944 at the federal penitentiary at Leavenworth, Kansas. In 2019 a landscape artist came upon a bunch of glass bottles at the site. Archaeologists who were called on found that some of the bottles held tumor and tissue samples preserved in alcohol while others had a tincture once sold as a cancer cure. The building first opened its doors in May of 1886. A stonemason had fallen to his death during its construction and many people claim to see his ghost hanging around the same room where he fell. The magnificent limestone structure has a long history of wrongful deaths and accidents that can only add to the probability of a certain amount of these choosing to haunt the majestic location. Impressive-looking building. I wonder if anyone would study his "cure" with modern methods.

Nah, clover and cornsilk couldn't possibly help get rid of cancer.

It looks like a good place for a haunting. How terrible to claim to have a cure for cancer. Have a good weekend.
