Chicken Biryani

Hello everybody , I hope everyone is doing great and well. Its Holy week , Holy Friday to be exact , fasting , repenting and forgiving is a very important activity for Roman Catholics like me.
And because its Holy Week we have a family tradition to fast , no eating of meat just for a day in observance of Holy Friday.
I would like to show lotters my lunch yesterday, its called chicken biryani. We bought it through my brother's friend and it tastes good. The basmati rice is sooo good. The Arabic spices complimented well and it was perfectly prepared.
The chicken meat is the bomb too! The chicken meat is so tender and was perfectly blended.
I really enjoyed my time alone yesterday, good food is also a good company .
Fellow Lotters is there any arabic dish that you have tried and tested?
p.s . the garlic sauce is so good too.

Happy Easter to you too maam. Oh wow chicken biryani in Nepal is delicious no doubt about it , it tastes different to be honest ...Very delicious .

I am Roman Catholic too and I made this discussion during Holy Tuesday thats why I can still eat meat like chicken meat. Garlic sauce is the perfect combination for biryani I guedd

You are right maam, the whole meal in this tub is very delish and its good for two , I did not finish the whole tub because Im already full.

I loooove chicken biryani and I can have that ANY DAY! We get ours from a small food joint in our village owned and managed by a Filipina and her husband, who is from India. His version of biryani has very bright yellow basmati rice and loads of herbs, including bay leaf. Now that I've read your post, I am craving biryani already!!! But I can't have any kind of meat on a Good Friday. We had broiled pompano for lunch. and for dinner we'll probably just open a can of mackerel. I'm excited to eat meat this Sunday!

Oh thats so good to hear maam, I dont know but I am starting to like biryani too , I even requested for an extra garlic sauce and its really delish. Yes maam as a Roman Catholic we also fast during the holy week and its a Saturday now we can eat alreafy now.
